Dr Fatemeh Golpayegani is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin. She received her PhD in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, in June 2018, which was funded by Science Foundation Ireland. She received her MSc in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2012 and BSc in Computer Engineering from Alzahra University, Tehran, Iran, in 2010. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Distributed Systems Group and Future Cities research group at Trinity College Dublin, before joining UCD in February 2019.
Her current research focus is on developing AI-based algorithms to solve problems such as climate change and sustainability in applications such as smart energy grids and transportation with a special focus on user preference modelling, goal identification and dependency modelling and conflict resolution through agent-based modelling and collaboration.
