I-Form to host Euspen International Conference & Exhibition

I-Form will host the 24th European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (euspen) International Conference & Exhibition at UCD, from June 10th to 14th. The euspen mission is to advance the arts, sciences and technology of precision engineering, micro engineering and nanotechnology.

Euspen’s international conference and exhibition provides a leading forum for industrialists and academics alike to review the best of world-wide industrial innovation, progressive research and technology developments.

Associated with the conference is the euspen Talent Programme, which is an international competition to identify exceptional MSc and PhD students, with the potential to become future leaders in the field of precision engineering and nanotechnology.

The 2024 Talent Programme is being organised in collaboration with Stryker, and focuses on the development of an MPO (Multi-fiber push on connector) plate design and the associated manufacturing process for the automated assembly and testing of the fiber optic connector performance.

Amongst this year’s competition finalists are candidates from Japan, Croatia, Denmark, Italy, the UK and Ireland. The top three teams will receive a bursary and complimentary conference attendance, as well as an opportunity to meet with researchers at Stryker's manufacturing facility in Co. Cork.
