I-Form Partners with Youthreach to Bring 3D Printing to Educators

I-Form is proud to announce a new partnership with Youthreach, a significant step in our mission to drive innovation, education, and sustainability through advanced manufacturing. Over the past few weeks, we took the first major step in this collaboration by delivering a 3D printing training course for Youthreach staff—equipping educators with the skills to bring cutting-edge technology into their classrooms.
Empowering Educators with 3D Printing Skills
The training sessions took place on February 26 and March 5 at the Ballymun Youthreach Centre, with 17 staff members from both Ballymun and Crumlin Youthreach Centres participating. These dedicated educators, teaching across various subjects, gained hands-on experience in designing and printing their own 3D creations. The goal? To empower them with the knowledge and confidence to introduce this transformative technology to their students.
Sustainability at the Core
A key partner in this initiative is Precious Plastic Dublin, an organisation dedicated to tackling plastic waste through recycling and innovation. During the training, Chris Darling from Precious Plastic Dublin led an insightful session on the global plastic waste challenge and how 3D printing can contribute to sustainable solutions. He also introduced the new plastic recycling equipment recently installed in Ballymun Youthreach Centre’s STEM learning space, showcasing how old plastic can be given new life through creative design.
Building a Future of Innovation and Sustainability
This collaboration reflects I-Form’s ongoing commitment to being a community leader in 3D printing, sustainability, and circular innovation. By equipping educators with cutting-edge skills, we are not only bridging the gap between technology and education but also fostering a new generation of problem-solvers who can use 3D printing for real-world impact.
We’re excited to continue this partnership and see how Youthreach educators and students use 3D printing to drive creativity, sustainability, and innovation in the classroom and beyond.
