I-Form Shortlisted for the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland Award 2025

We were honoured to be shortlisted for the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland’s 2025 Global Community Award last week during their annual Awards Night in Dublin.
I-Form Director, Professor Denis Dowling, attended the prestigious event alongside partners from Stryker, proudly representing our joint initiative, Manufacturing a Healthy Future. This unique education programme reflects the core values of AmCham by creating positive social impact through collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.
Manufacturing a Healthy Future equips primary school teachers with hands-on training in 3D printing and advanced manufacturing, empowering them to bring STEM learning into their classrooms. Together with Stryker, we are passionate about making STEM accessible and exciting for all children — especially those from underrepresented communities.
Since its launch in 2021, the programme has:
🔹 Trained over 350 teachers across six countries, including 200+ in Ireland
🔹 Reached more than 6,000 students, with 2,000+ in Ireland
🔹 Engaged 500+ students from DEIS schools
By supporting teachers with resources and running a national student design competition, the programme is cultivating the next generation of innovators - showing children that STEM is for everyone. The acknowledgment by AmCham is a testament to the power of collaborative efforts in creating meaningful change in education and industry.
Coinciding with the awards ceremony, we also celebrated the winners of our 2025 student design challenge in Ireland — a heartwarming virtual event attended by 35 school teams. A sincere thank you to Stryker for championing this initiative, the dedicated educators driving STEM engagement in their classrooms, the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland for recognising our impact and to all our programme supporters, including Michael Golden, I-Form EPE Manager and Tríona Kennedy, from Stryker, whose leadership continues to inspire.
Together, we are helping to manufacture a healthier, more inclusive future - one classroom at a time.
